The Third Week
Week three at Smoothound came in with a bang—meetings, designs, campaigns, and, of course, the ever-present "laptop kyun crash ho raha hai?" moments. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, the energy was high, and the tasks were plenty. But hey, dil toh creative hai na?
We kicked off the week with a meeting with DDMS, where we dived deep into the company’s future goals, strategies, and what’s next for Smoothound. It was one of those discussions that make you step back and see the bigger picture—understanding how our work fits into the brand’s long-term vision. Matlab, sirf designs nahi, full strategy game bhi strong hona chahiye!
The Midweek
With the Valentine’s campaign on the horizon, it was time to switch gears into full-on design mode. The task? Create four new socks for the Love Collection in just two days. No pressure, right? But once the ideas started flowing, it was all about playing with colors, patterns, and the perfect blend of quirky and classy. Think cute hearts? No, think different! So, we literally thought different and made a collection of a mismatch pair that make you go "aww but also damn, these look quite a-nice!"
After the socks were finalized, the next challenge was bringing the campaign to life—which meant crafting a theme for the social media, designing website banners, and ensuring everything screamed Valentine’s vibes. What’s a campaign without some solid video content? So, we planned up a calender which included shoots, capturing the essence of the Love Collection through fun clips, behind-the-scenes moments, and smooth aesthetic shots.
The Constant Remains
Through all of this, what remained constant was the "casual fun chats with the boss"—the kind that make work feel less like work. The energy in the office is something I genuinely enjoy. It’s the right balance of chill and hustle.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a typical week without some recurring themes: fixing the website, laptop crashes, and learning something new every day. Shopify continued to be a puzzle (which we’re slowly mastering), and my laptop, well, decided to take its own creative breaks (ekdum filmy timing pe).
Despite the tech tantrums, this week was packed with learnings—from understanding how to design socks(xD), build a campaign, and realizing the importance of speed when designing for events. Every task, every challenge added something new to the experience, constantly reminding us that we're "almost there". Other than my work-loaded days, ordered a new BLU Lens spec, faced a foggy day anddddd made sure DDMS working rightly by us(it's a work, yes!)
As we wrap up week three, one thing’s for sure—Smoothound is keeping me on my toes, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Ab bas, laptop thoda aur samajhdar ban jaaye toh maza aa jaaye!
