The Eighth Week

Week 8 was all about hustling in the office. No factory visits, no warehouse runs—just a whole lot of screen time, design work, and, of course, the classic rejection saga.

A big part of this week was dedicated to getting Smoothound registered on different marketplaces. Now, if you think this is just about filling a form and clicking "Submit," bhool jao.

Before we could even upload our products, we had to create new SKUs—which meant carefully curating 2-pair and 3-pair packs of solids, stripes, patterns, and no-shows. Once that was done, it was time for... drumroll the photoshoot.

Setting up, arranging the socks, clicking pictures, and making sure the lighting was just right—it was a long process, but we got some great frames. Or so we thought. This sitting on the floor felt nothing less than working and running your own company. Aur bina music aaj tak mahol bana?

Cue rejection emails. Again. Because what is a Smoothound week without some approvals followed by rejections? 😅 But, as always, we took notes, made adjustments, and got back to work. Aur koi option tha hi nahi!

With wedding season in full swing, we decided to jump in with a small campaign. Because, honestly, weddings aren’t just about lehenga and sherwani flex—why not show off some cool socks too?

I worked on the campaign creatives, playing around with classy wedding-themed ideas and graphics. It was a nice break from the never-ending marketplace setup and gave me a chance to experiment with a different tone for the brand.

New Designs Loading…

While all this was happening, I was also working on developing new sock designs for our upcoming launches. Sketching, brainstorming, figuring out what works and what doesn’t. It’s always fun to push the creative boundaries while keeping the brand’s quirky yet premium tone in mind.

This part is definitely my favorite—where I can go all out with concepts, colors, and patterns. Can’t wait to see these designs come to life in the coming weeks!

All while having coffee at desks!

Week 8 was a mix of tedious registrations, creative shoots, and small campaign wins. The best part? Even though rejections are a given at this point, the pace at which we fix, improve, and move forward is what keeps things exciting.

With wedding socks in the mix and new designs cooking, next week is looking even more packed. Let’s see what fresh chaos unfolds!
