The Tenth Week

Calm Days, Color-Corrected Chaos & Cricket Frenzy

This week started off easy—like the kind where your to-do list doesn’t scream at you and you actually get to sip your coffee. Most of our time was spent in-office, working quietly (and sometimes not-so-quietly, thanks to random music breaks and office banters).

We had new sock designs waiting to be put in the spotlight, so we did what we do best—shot new photos, edited them to match the real colours (which, let me tell you, is a never-ending battle), and got them uploaded to the website. Slowly but steadily, things are starting to look more put-together on the site.

And then, something exciting happened—we finally started working on the new website theme! There’s something oddly satisfying about breaking down your own site and saying, “Okay, what can we do better?” We looked at competitor sites, did a bit of UX detective work (hello, heuristics!), and figured out what features would actually make our website easier to navigate. Sorting collections, fixing product flow, and just simplifying things for the user has been super satisfying.

Midweek was all about inventory updates. There were products that had been missing from the website and had to be made live, and we cleaned up collections to make them look and feel more intuitive. Every small change felt like a little breath of fresh air on the site.

And just when we thought the week would pass peacefully… Cricket happened.

On the day before the World Cup final, our boss came in with a classic “lightbulb” moment—“Let’s do a one-day World Cup discount campaign!” We had barely 24 hours, it was technically a holiday, but guess what? We pulled it off. Spent the evening running Meta ads, crafting WhatsApp messages, designing emailers, and just pushing everything live. It was hectic, sure, but also weirdly thrilling.

And guess what? It worked! We got 6-7 orders on the same day, purely because of that one impulsive idea. It’s a great feeling when you see real-time results from something you’ve built (even if it was built in a rush with tired eyes and leftover chai on your desk).

The week wrapped up with some analytics checks (turns out a few of our sock designs are becoming customer faves!), more photo uploads, and a bit of ideation on what’s next.

Not every week has fireworks—but this one had a little spark. And honestly? That’s more than enough.
